Mike Basich was sick of living on the grid. As a pro-snowboarder, he had his eyes set on the “American Dream.” He made a lot of money and bought a mansion, but only felt weighed down by all his possessions. Making a dramatic move, he bought 40 acres of land in snowy Truckee, California, and started building his 225-square-foot home.

Complete with a hot tub, a shower that doubles as a bench, a lofted bedroom, and his adorable dog, Basich put more than just physical effort into his living space. He put his heart and soul into it! Watch the video below to tour his personal winter resort…atop a mountain. It’s truly gorgeous.
