Little Girl Sees A Hole In The Ground. What’s Inside? I’m Shocked!

This is a truly shocking story, but rest assured there’s a happy ending.

One fateful day, a six-year-old girl named Cara played near her home in the Waterside area of Londonderry, in the U.K. As she ventured further, she stumbled upon a concrete hole in the ground. Good thing Cara is a curious child, because when she peeked into the hole she found a dog. A blind, emaciated Boxer with cracked teeth and an infected uterus, thrown into the hole to die among the sludge and waste. This was more than a concrete hole — it was a concrete grave.

Cara sprung into superhero mode, ran home, and told her father Kenny, who immediately rescued the dog. He realized a wooden pallet had been placed over the hole so the helpless animal would not be able to escape.

It didn’t take long for the family to realize that, despite the nightmare she’d endured, this dog was still gentle and affectionate. He said, “We are a family of animal lovers and have a dog ourselves, so we took her home with us and gave her a tin of food, which she gulped down in under 15 seconds. We kept her at home that night and let her sleep on the sofa because she was clearly exhausted and distressed. In fact, my 15-year-old son Ethan slept on the other sofa to help her settle before we contacted the Rainbow Centre.”

This is where the story takes an even more incredible turn: Helen Davis from the Rainbow Rehoming Centre took the Boxer to a vet, who deduced that she had been used for breeding and was then discarded when she could no longer birth puppies.

After getting the dog, now named Bella, all the medical attention she needed, the Centre posted her story online. In just one day, the story reached 450,000 people. Overwhelming support flooded in from across the world.

Bella is now safe and sound, and part of her loving forever family.

A little girl had been playing outside when she stumbled across a hole in the ground. Her father discovered this elderly, emaciated, and blind boxer had been dumped inside to die.

This “concrete grave” was covered with wooden planks that were held in place by heavy rocks so she couldn’t escape.

Cara and her father rescued the dog safely and, while she was in terrible condition, her heart was still warm and ready to love.

Vets found that “Bella” was completely blind, suffered from starvation, had cracked and broken teeth and an infection in her uterus due to overbreeding and utter neglect.

But back at the Centre, Bella was given the medical attention she desperately needed, along with a massive dose of love and affection.

Here is the moment Bella was introduced to her forever family. It was love at first sight — or, for Bella, first sniff.

Sound asleep in the comfort of a warm, soft bed — just like Bella always deserved.
