The Definition of Horsepower: Watch These Clydesdales Get Things Done When A Semi Gets Stuck

Clydes

Stuck on a snowy road, this semi truck is no match for a team of Clydesdale horses.According to Clydesdale Breeders of the USA, an average horse can weigh between 1,600-2,400 pounds, “as much as a Volkswagen beetle.”But when it comes to how much each one can pull, the numbers vary:“It depends on what they’re pulling. When pulling a wagon, a Clydesdale can pull many times its own weight. This is why Clydesdales were so popular in the cities pulling large wagons of goods.”
The team of horses in this video seem to have little trouble with the heavy truck. Maybe next time, the truck driver will skip a call to AAA altogether.
