They Never Taught Their Dog To Do This, But He Did It Anyway. I Am FLOORED!

I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard people say that they would much rather have a pet than a child or vice versa.

To each their own, but I strongly believe that having a pet, especially a dog, in the house with a young baby is one of the greatest gifts you can ever give your child. Growing up with a dog teaches children to be compassionate, caring, and responsible, and instills so many more life lessons that you just can’t learn the same way in a classroom.

However, as you can see in the following video, having a baby with a dog in the house can benefit the pup in many ways, too. Here we see an adorable, sweet beagle named Charlie. This dog is learning to share his parents with his new baby sister. While some dogs get jealous (just like some kids do!) of babies, Charlie took a completely different approach…

In the video posted to YouTube by “Charlie The Beagle and Laura Olivia,” Charlie’s owner writes, “We taught our dog how to play keyboard, how to change traffic lights and how to swing a baby crib, but we never had to teach him how to love our daughter. Thank you Charlie for [making] her smile everyday.”
